When on, each tier (e.g. 1st Place) can only be claimed once per event. Participation tiers are always unlimited.

π Award column: check it for placement tiers (1st/2nd/3rd Place, Champion) β every submission for a checked tier also creates a public Awards entry (shows on Awards.html, Tribes.html, Chief Portal Awards). Leave it UNCHECKED for participation / attendance tiers β those earn points but aren't awards. Only NEW submissions are affected when you change a checkbox.
